Analysis of San Francisco Sales Tax data, 2019 to 2023
The economic benefits of walkable neighborhoods are well-documented. In this analysis we look specifically at the economic benefits of a pedestrianized Hayes Promenade.
Based on sales tax data from DataSF, between 2019 and 2023, we observe District 5 outperforming San Francisco as a whole. Furthermore, we observe the 300/400/500 blocks of Hayes outperforming District 5:
