Subject: Public Comment - Hayes Street Shared Space support

To SFMTA Board,

[Say what you love about Hayes Promenade and why you want it made permanent!]

I’m writing to express my support for renewing the Hayes Street Shared Space permit.

For over five years, Hayes Promenade has been a cherished community space in the heart of Hayes Valley. Children play safely, neighbors and visitors gather, dance, and shop, artists and musicians perform. It's been a model for what city streets can be: safe, vibrant, and people-centered. It supports local businesses by bringing steady foot traffic and outdoor dining. It strengthens community bonds through cultural programming and neighborhood collaboration. And it reimagines urban space as something that belongs to everyone.

Please approve the renewal of the permit and allow Hayes Promenade to continue being a joyful town square for neighbors, visitors, shoppers, artists, and musicians, of all ages and backgrounds.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]
